Side Sleeper? Back Sleeper? How to Pick a Perfect Pillow by Your Sleeping Position?
Why some pillows could help you melt into a dreamless slumber, while others make you tossing and turning all night long?
A good sleeping posture is key to sleeping soundly, night after night, and to waking without pain and stiffness. Your pillow helps to support a healthy sleep posture.
What does that posture look like? A body in alignment, from the knees and hips, through the spine to the chest and shoulders, head and neck.
That said, here are some broad guidelines:
1.Side sleepers may need a high loft pillow, which is firmer and thicker, about five inches thick or more.
Look for one that’s as thick as the distance between your ear and outside shoulder. Only the pillow with enough support for your hear-neck-shoulder, it could help to keep the your nature curve, and also helps the shoulder and neck muscles stay relaxed.
2.Stomach sleepers may need a soft pillow—or no pillow at all—underneath their head. A pillow under your stomach and pelvis may help prevent back pain.
You could remove about 1/2 filling from a QUTOOL shredded memory foam pillow
3.Back sleepers may need a flatter pillow, to keep your head and neck in alignment. Back sleepers may want a softer pillow—but if you have neck pain and sleep on your back, look for a pillow that provides additional support, while maintaining the softness that’s comfortable for you.
Don’t ignore your pillow! It is so important for your sleeping quality and comfort.
